Release probably won’t be today
I’m correcting a last minute texture problem, more rendering and more compositing. I also have a sound effect left to record. But otherwise the muzzle is done.
So probably no release today unless I pull an all nighter.
Inworld test successful!
For some reason i had to juggle between two clients to get the mask to upload the way i wanted it. Also my lighting is strange, but that might just the the place I’m at.
Almost there really, now it’s time to start scripting.
First texture draft on the muzzle gag
Figured it was about time to post another peek at the texture work. This is pretty much the final aspect, now all I need to do is the tedious process of rendering all the colors and assembling them.
Patch completed
I THINK that I’ve done all the products that where affected. Now I can go back to sleep 😛
TouchBound System patch
Some might have noticed a lot of update notices today, there was a major bug affecting RLV users so I started rolling out a large patch on pretty much the entire TouchBound line, most of the KDC items have been updated, I will roll the patch on the remaining products (maybe) tomorrow.
Main UVs done!
The UVs for the harness and its main plug are done, I’ve done some compromising with the inner surfaces getting less texture area than the outer faces, I think I’m getting the hang of it with this kind of optimization… slowly. The “classic” mistakes were made which means I had to redo some areas more than once, and ended up splitting the longest strap in two (which I did for the blindfold, but forgot about!)
I will take care of the accessories once I’ve worked out future texture issues.
Ponyplay bit upgrade and VMM
I just pushed a little change on the PonyPlay bits that was requested by Orchil so thank her for that 🙂
- Drawing a leash from the rein anchor point (the double chain ones) can be done from further away than 5 meters (10 meters max). All the other points still have the 5 meter restriction.
- Fixed a problem with the range error message being sent twice in specific cases.
Now about VMM
Linden Labs started rolling out their new “Viewer Managed Marketplace”. This is only useful for merchants really, but the idea is that listings can be updated directly from The SecondLife inventory. While not revolutionary, it’s one of those quality of life things I suppose.
I’m experimenting a little about (MAYBE) dropping the KDC delivery boxes for marketplace deliveries and stick everything in “direct delivery” instead. I won’t do a full-blown shift to it until it’s out of beta (to be on the safe side) but I will unpack my marketplace listings as I go.
LPM In the work
I still have to finish the LPM forehead strap (lots of tweaking but I did this like a newbie -_- )
Server outage
Sorry about the 1-2 hours of malfunction of the delivery system, the KDC server update didn’t go as smoothly as I expected. Everything should be fine for 6 more months :).
