Patch day again!
I’m truly sorry if you hate patches, but this is just how it is going to be 🙂
General bug fixes & system improvements:
Added click actions, Alpha masked root prims (quicker to render than alpha), timelock and accessories support, updated updater, chain sync bugs, etc…
- Ayumi boots.
- Classic wire muzzle.
- Classic pet muzzle.
- Classic leather belt.
- Heavy metal headcage.
Warden straitjacket:
- All of the above.
- Fixed! A lock and strapping interaction bug that could get the jacket stuck in a “locked but untied” state.
- New! Now you can start the struggling minigame even if there is no chance for you to get free (if the sleeves are locked).
- Fixed! Somehow you could free yourself from the jacket if it was locked and strapped at tier 1.
- Slightly improved the click zones with a better D ring and back-lock click proxy.
Accidental patching?
I accidentally (yes) patched the Fallen princess collar, before I was actually done with a small feature I’m adding to it.
I also (not accidentally) patched the Vermilion set for the previously mentioned bugs and I’m also rolling out click action changes. If the viewer you are using is recent enough, the cursor should only change to a “touch” cursor when it is above a touch point.
Dullahan collar update
- Corrects a few issues and improves the detach reporting when the user is not in RLV mode.
- Removes a script that wasn’t supposed to be here.
Update to the vacuum system
Corrects a behavior issue with the dust layer script config and nothing else. You should read the dust layer configuration notecard again. I believe my instructions where incorrect.
The KDC Fallen Princess Collar is out!
One evening we found this beautiful young lady sheltering from the rain under an awning behind the KDC facility. She told us that she was a noble from another realm who was on the run after her father had been overthrown. She sounded a little crazy but after our blacksmith managed to free her from what looked like a heavy slave collar, we gave her food and shelter for the night. The next morning we considered calling the police but she had vanished! All that was left was this collar to remind us that we did not dream any of this.
Yes it’s finally out, But I strong recommend checking the manual for the little quirks this design features.
That also means two new “keys” in the spare accessories family. I’ve also rolled out the fingerprint padlock “V2” in this item and will progressively roll out new lock versions as I update everything (again)
As usual, you can pick it up from the KDC Main Store or from the SecondLife Marketplace.
Enjoy!
Code monday.
Not what I would consider a great day, but regardless, I got some work done in the end.
I rewrote all the padlocks and did memory profiling on them. I redid all the pop-up messages,( especially for the fingerprint padlock) in the hope that it will make things clearer for new users of the system.
I also tweaked the time padlock so it doesn’t have those weird “3:55” limits, now it will go all the way to “4:00”, but the lower limit will still be 5 minutes.
I also figured out the source of conflict between leg animations and suspensions, will be fixed soon.
Anchor update
This is kind of a double update, I’ve patched the regular TouchBound anchor plate, and the suspension version.
- The “suspension” anchor was carrying an OLD (2012!) bug that only triggered when used on more than one prim linksets. I’ve also removed unnecessary code to reduce memory use.
- The “normal” anchor has been stripped down of most unnecessary code and functions, it’s not required to change it but you might want to consider it if you use a lot of them.
Isolation headphones update.
I know, I’m shocked too!
Joke aside, this isn’t the big update I was hoping to release for those but it contains a few important changes:
- FIXED: Tiny bug with the IM blocking flag not being picked up.
- FIXED: Fixes a naming issue still refering to a “collar”.
- FIXED: RLV emote truncation bug.
- ADDED: Configuration entry to display a hovertext informing others that the headphone wearer can/cannot hear local chat.
- CHANGED: The IM blocking bypass is now “DISABLE_IM_BLOCKING=YES” (Oh yeah it was a bit of a secret for a while?)
You should receive the update soon-ish, if not, message me inworld!
Hotfix for the Regina Corseted Suit!
Today I discovered a really odd bug with one of the Regina Corseted Suit textures, it might be due to a SecondLife server issue I’m not entirely sure.
This update uses a fresh, re-optimized set of specular maps for the Regina Corseted Suit. Bug fixed, and a lower memory footprint, yay 🙂
This is mostly a HUD update, if the corset still shows a weird “oil slick” patch in the back, just re-apply the new textures with the HUD!
Shigeko boot patch
Fixes an issue with some of the coloring HUD buttons loading the wrong color (purple<->pink).
That’s all 🙂
