Almost ready

So this is what i changed so far, you can see the round enclosures for the room managers which are now “vacuTrackers”. The circular ring changes based on what is going on, to give you an idea of what is happening:

  • Fixed full color: Nothing is happening, the vacuTracker is in idle mode (the floor is completely dirty).
  • Fast spin with two LEDs: There is a vacuum running somewhere, the vacuTracker is monitoring its movements.
  • Slow spin with four LEDs: Nothing is happening, the floor is slowly getting dirty, at the pre-configured rate.

What else… The vacuTracker configuration is now notecard based and changing it will NOT cause the room configuration to reset, you have to use the “delete nodes” function in the touch menu.

Also you don’t need to set up room names anymore, vacuTrackers will pick a unique room ID when rezzed and will configure the room markers too. And it will resist shift-duplicating them so you don’t have to request your markers one by one.

The display panels are now called Monitoring panels and they only have one role now, which is to display the state of your chores in a flexible manner.

You can have up to 3 progress bars on them and merge as many chores as you want in a single progress bar (should you want to). You can also filter out chores that you don’t want to track (if you are reading a device that reports multiple ones).

Lastly, I made a “dust overlay” for those who want a little more than a progress bar for “visual feedback”. I like the texture, it tiles very well and when it’s at 1m repeat it looks a bit like sawdust… disgusting.

Classic Leather Blindfold update

I pushed yesterday a small patch to the blindfolds that shaves about 1-2kb off the core script, some of you have reported that it would run out of memory after a while. This should provide a healthy buffer of free memory and reduce the chances of it happening again.

However if it does, drop me a PM in SL, or just fill the bug report form!

Lady Eleanor riding crop update

I just pushed a small patch to the Lady Eleanor riding crop that fixes the crop holder’s refusal to rez a crop on land that you own if group members (or all users) don’t have rez right themselves. It should work properly now.

On a sidenote, for the love of what is right and good in this world, please keep rez right on your land and set your autoreturn to one minute instead… please?

Shock collar update

Yes, I know “ANOTHER PATCH?”

This one fixes the RLV activation but of last week which somehow wasn’t applied on the shock collar (blame me all you want) and as an added feature, RLV gag speech from all my gags (or any gags that redirect chat on channel 100 really) will also trigger the anti-bark function.

Patch completed

I THINK that I’ve done all the products that where affected. Now I can go back to sleep 😛

TouchBound System patch

Some might have noticed a lot of update notices today, there was a major bug affecting RLV users so I started rolling out a large patch on pretty much the entire TouchBound line, most of the KDC items have been updated, I will roll the patch on the remaining products (maybe) tomorrow.

Ponyplay bit upgrade and VMM

I just pushed a little change on the PonyPlay bits that was requested by Orchil so thank her for that 🙂

  • Drawing a leash from the rein anchor point (the double chain ones) can be done from further away than 5 meters (10 meters max). All the other points still have the 5 meter restriction.
  • Fixed a problem with the range error message being sent twice in specific cases.

Now about VMM

Linden Labs started rolling out their new “Viewer Managed Marketplace”. This is only useful for merchants really, but the idea is that listings can be updated directly from The SecondLife inventory. While not revolutionary, it’s one of those quality of life things I suppose.

I’m experimenting a little about (MAYBE) dropping the KDC delivery boxes for marketplace deliveries and stick everything in “direct delivery” instead. I won’t do a full-blown shift to it until it’s out of beta (to be on the safe side) but I will unpack my marketplace listings as I go.

Emergency patch released!

The following products where affected by the animation bug:

  • All collars.
  • All wrist cuffs.
  • All Elbow cuffs.
  • The chastity belt.
  • The nipple rings.

They all received an emergency patch to correct the issue, just wear the item for a little while and it will detect that there is an update available.

Again, sorry about the inconvenience.

All wrist/elbow cuffs updated

I added the new collar animations to all the wrist cuffs and updated everything to the new codebase.

I’m almost done! not yet but almost!

More code patches

I just pushed a new version of the RLV activator (2.2) Nothing changed beside a new menu option so you can lock it on yourself to prevent it’s removal when you change outfits.

Products updated:

  • Lined chrome chastity belt.
  • Nipple piercings.
  • Nose Piercing.
