Trying out sl in shadows

A few screens of my little city with the shadows, i have to say that even if they aren’t ALL that obvious it seems to give some sort of thickness to things that is really appealing.

There is also a few quirks…

The asylum, first coat of paint

Ive fixed various of the super SL prim glitches and made almost all the external walls and windows of the asylum, it’s starting to look rather pleasant, also on Winter’s suggestion i pulled out in 3D the moldings at the top of each floor, it’s not very visible but i think it makes the walls more pleasant even if it’s unconcious. Sinister but not gritty, dark but not too gothic.

I think i like it.

The kdc asylum: wash, rince, repeat

Ishy has been kind enough to draw me a new asylum floorplan and here are the results of 2 furious days of prim copying:


This U shaped building contain the following rooms:

  • A Lobby
  • 5 patient low security cells
  • A common room for patients
  • A “group” padded room (?)
  • A large outside recreation area
  • The warden office
  • 3 large therapy rooms on two levels
  • Showers & changing room
  • A cafeteria & kitchen
  • A roomy staff lounge
  • 6 high security padded cells with ceiling light well

Yeah i know it isn’t really productive when it comes to KDC but that’s like the manor my two “long run” “unfinished” projects.

The ceilings of the basements are still smelling fresh paint but i can finally start on the first floor, a lot of space for having guests, with no less than 3 living rooms connected by collapsible glass doors to turn it in a huge ballroom, a veranda and a decent library.

Naming names

I did a little list of names that could be used as last names in SL

Nothing specific really just stuffs i pass by, i might update it, or not.

Revamping the dead realm shop

Revamping is finally finished two new nodes added and i removed all the vendors. Several signs so peoples can orient themselves “quite” easily. Two more light mobiles and now the main room is called the “lobby”. I plan to turn it into a fetish style living room with comfy seats and a few torture devices.

Tyrant #2 some work on the bay’s access tunnels

not a lot to show but i like the look of it still, the bay is almost fully textured, minus the worm like front door and some bits of the ceiling.

Tyrant’s new engine room

It had been a long time since i hadn’t worked on the Tyrant, the current modifications will probably ground it definitely as it is all in details and prims, but since it will be a permanent element of dead realm now, i guess i can do it.

In the lifting process i finished texturing the rear hull, corrected a few alignment problems and added some lights plus two MASSIVE mysterious futuristic turbine things. You can even look through the control hatch.

Two fraggin’ millions
