RELEASE! The KDC PonyPlay rubber bit.

Once again, I took all the time on earth but it was well worth it. As I explained before i ran into a nasty memory outage when doing the finishing touches on the script and had to move a bunch of things around to free enough memory.

This was well worth it, the reduction in memory usage will certainly be useful later.

This bit gag has all the features that the stuffed ballgag had, on top of it, has leverage straps that will appear to connect to the bridle, if you are wearing the PonyPlay bridle. It’s has 3 chain emitters, one that act as a double rein style and the two others are on the shank tips.

It is of course LockMeister compatible, come with a texture and coloring HUD with 64 high-resolution textures. It has a custom speech garbler that I painfully adapted to more closely match the “bit speech”.

Another great “feature” is that unlike a lot of my products, it’s pretty easy to adjust to your avatar, if you ignore the helper prims it’s basically 7 elements and nobody should have trouble (hopefully).

Ponyplay bridle out, and a new documentation.

I kept my promise! (whee) it’s still sunday and I just released the bridle!

Now I did say that I would release it no matter what, which means there is 1 or 2 features I haven’t implemented yet. But that’s allright, I will work on them as soon as possible.

I also did a LARGE update to the documentation wiki, I hope this will help existing TouchBound users and new ones alike. (feel free to give your opinion on the poll)

Mini release, the RevoSuit “petite” edition

A friend bugged me about this for a while so I finally gave in and ported the standard edition of the RevoSuit for “petite” female avatars ( They are custom rigged mesh avatars that are pixie sized ), it’s NOT in the KDC main shop, only at the following locations for now.

…Back to work on the bridle now.

The Latex RevoSuit is out!

Nearly two months of work are coming to completion, i hereby present you the KDC Latex RevoSuit. Featuring a new and improved latex material, detailed seams (like real latex catsuits) creasing at the joints and a bunch of Zip options.

A slapping happy valentine everyone!

The KDC face slapper is out, this is KDC’s very own twisted gift for your valentine, if you are into BDSM, or simply enjoy a little spice, this toy is made for you!

It is very simple to use but has a couple of really nice features:

  • Independent left and right cheek, simply click the one you want to warm up.
  • Custom slapping sounds! Made completely in-house these sound effects are sharp and different from any freebies out there.
  • The Script simulates the cheeks reddening, a single slap won’t really leave a mark, but several will make the cheek redden much faster and will remain red for a little while.
  • Animations and frown! Each cheek has its own head tilt to simulate the blow and your avatar will make a little face between humiliation, anger and (a little bit of) pain.
  • Blacklist! Some joker found your slapper and decided to use and abuse of it? You can edit the included Notecard, add his name to the list and be at peace.
  • Low impact scripts!

It uses the special KDC unpacker box, which means you can buy it for someone else, simply pass the box to your significant other, the product itself is no transfer, but as long as the box remain packed, you can pass it around.

Available from the Main KDC shop, right at the entrance, from any of the satellite vendors, and from the Secondlife Marketplace.

New release, the Laminated Cuff Set

Laminated… what a convoluted word hm? Well that’s what stuck during the modeling process, and it’s fitting if you consider that this monstrous set of cuffs is made of several thick steel plates, laser cut to shape and assembled with heavy-duty bolts.

Like the paws, those cuffs are almost completely mesh based, so you will need a viewer 2.0 if you want to see them in all their glory (you should really switch to a mesh viewer if you haven’t yet there are quite a few now).

They feature my classic cuff script with all the TouchBound standard features and special animations with cuffs and collars, also the bolt slide in and out of it’s hole in the outer ring of the cuff if you lock/unlock it.

This design is supposed to use an inner cuff ring that fit closely around the wrist and is kept captive (and shut) inside the outer ring. In theory they should be able to rotate freely around each others.

You can get them from the usual places:

Leather paw mittens released!

Finally after much time wasted, but also spent on debugging and upgrading the whole product line, those cute little paw gloves are finally out!

They have a customisation HUD with a wide variety of leather colors and independent base/details, like the stuffed ballgag (so you can match them), they have a new special feature when both mittens are worn and locked that will prevent the wearer to interact with TouchBound products.

Also they are my first mesh enabled creation and I’m pretty proud of it!

I updated the documentation wiki with the new information, check it out if you are lost!

You can get those for a tiny price of 250L$ from the main shop [CLICK HERE] from the [SL MARKETPLACE] or from any of the satellite vendors.

Mesh based pet play control mitts

Now that meshes are finally out i can finally spend some time on my favourite computer craft, which is 3D modeling. Now some of you might say “But hey Kyrah, you’ve been modeling things for SL for quite some time now, what do you mean by that!”

What i mean is that frankly, making sculpted prims is a torture, there is zero optimisation possible, it’s a compact and fast format, granted, but that’s not what i call 3D modeling.

Here is the result of a few days of work, I started a new project, a simple pair of paw gloves, for those out there who like pet play. This is a completely different challenge compared to sculpted prims, it’s much more flexible, but at the same time there is a lot more steps involved.

  • The first thing is that i have to make my models twice. If you want to bake pretty highlights, you need a high detail version of your object, with all the little elements that you want to showcase in the texture.
  • You also have to make the low polygon model. What’s great compared to sculpted prims, is that you can be really clever and optimize the model as much as you can, the more optimized, the cheaper to upload and the less prims it will count for.
  • You have to make a proper UVW map for the low polygon mesh, this is where some people can make some great texture optimizations, such as if you are making a crate, you can assign all the sides of the crate to use the same region of your texture, while still being part of the same “face” in SL.
  • You have to make a collision mesh, but honestly this is probably the less troublesome part, i tend to use simple boxes for everything that doesn’t require anything precise, because it save upload cost. But even for a complex object, the collision hull is really not a big deal. Just keep it convex.

Now if you’re making clothes the extra step is skinning the object on the avatar skeleton, i have yet to dabble into this, hell i’m not sure I want to because I was told those attachments can’t be resized in any way. Which would be okay if every single SL avatar wasn’t nearly unique.

The two first pictures are from the “high resolution” model in 3D studio max, you will never see this one in SL it’s there for texturing only because it is way too polygon heavy!

The two last pictures are from the “low polygon” version in SL white with a light shiny in viewer 3.x the little pads are actually treated by sl as a “second” prim face, the sl model is 2120 triangles at it’s most detailed lod, it’s still missing the wrist strap and buckle but it’s on the “to do” list.

I’m not sure about the polygon count, 2120 so far seems to be more than decent, the strap and buckle will probably add 500 to 1000 more, i could add much more details to the low poly mesh but I do not think that it is necessary or reasonable. (and it has nothing to do with lazyness, it’s a simplified version of the high resolution mesh, and i did that one first.)

TODO:

  • strap & buckle.
  • UVW mapping for both models.
  • (eventually) rigging/skinning.
  • Making a left copy.

Latex texture pack for the Institutional straitjacket!

It’s done, finally.

I just completed a big texture pack for the KDC Institutional straitjacket, in a single add-on script, you get ALL the KDC latex colors for the jacket.

This version of the latex has a much improved aspect and i intend to make more products out of it, but for now, this will do.

I hope this will make a lot of Peoples happy, considering it was requested over and over since the release of the leather pack.

Well here it is fellow rubberists, and i hope you will be satisfied 🙂

Come check it out in Second Life !

See it on the Marketplace!

KDC and ER Collaboration on touchbound products

I proudly present you the result of a little collaboration with Winter Ventura from Eclectic Randomness, we have been friends for quite a while now and this is the first project we actually do together. She designed a collar to use with the TouchBound system, as well as matching sets of wrist and ankle cuffs and a very nice padlock design!

The collar has a large ring on the front that I absolutely love and the padlock has a tiny detailed keyhole on the front. They are both available in our respective shops:

And in our respective SecondLife Marketplace boutiques.
