A few more pictures

Here are a few more pictures for those out here who didn’t check the videos. Today I didn’t have much time so I finished and unwrapped the locking posts for the belt and the secondary shield.

Most of the uvwmapping is done.

Well, almost, I need to pack everything and there is a couple of parts I still need to finish and unwrap. I’m keeping this for tomorrow.

Something different today: I’ve actually recorded it all, you can watch it on YouTube if you want to. Be aware that it is more than 4 hours long 🙂

More pictures, please tell me what you think, I kinda like the idea of 3 rings on each side but I’m also a bit worried that it might look too “heavy” but on the other hand I really want to have at LEAST two rings at the top of the hips.

I still have to do the secondary shield before settling for a final look so please tell me what you think before it’s too late :).

A peek at the pigtail version

I’ve done a lot of rendering mostly thursday and friday, the hoods will have the following options:

Zipper:

  • Metal.
  • Colored.
  • None.

Openings:

  • Normal.
  • Pigtail holes.
  • Ponytail hole.

So that’s nine combinations par package I suppose.

Should I do the basic/premium/complete thing that I did with the revosuit again?

This is over a hair base, actually the Genius hairs from Tuty.

Almost done

With the base version that is. I really want to make a pony tail version and bi-chromic versions too. I did a complete defrag/reorder yesterday which took 24 hours ( 1 terabyte -_-) so that took all Tuesday.

To compensate here is a BUNCH of pictures of the current state of the hood. It’s all red because it is the only color that show all the details, so that’s what I usually work with.

I rebuilt the lower lip shape about 3 times and played for a while with the dept of the seams before settling on those.

The first few pictures have glares on the lips and chin that i removed in the last picture. I think it’s a bit better like that.

I’m gonna stick with that one.

Second attempt on the hood. This time, I’ve used a higher resolution texture and a non smoothed mesh. Also spent a while tweaking and tuning the eye openings and the mouth and I think it’s looking as .. good as it ever will.

It’s a bit mexican wrestler -ish I suppose, but I like the way the lines look, very smooth and aesthetically? It is pleasing me.

More work on the bridle bit #3

Another update, texture rendering is done, and the mesh parts are imported in SL. I have to admit it might be a little difficult to adjust that thing, mainly because of the lever straps. However it’s nothing like adjusting a full prim object, here you have several meshes:

  • The mouth piece.
  • The shanks.
  • The chin strap.
  • The neck strap.
  • The lever straps.

And all you have to do is to somewhat make them fit together. All the straps can be stretched in length and width with minimal deformation so that should be easy to work with.

I worked quite a lot today:

  • Mesh finalized.
  • Unwrapping.
  • Bump maps done.
